"Expensive, unprofessional conduct, poor workmanship"

Came to our house last yr to do roofing and other work. Gave a misleading, expensive quote over £3,500 which didn't cover full cost of work. When asked Ian, why he didn't complete all the work, he said he would need more time and that his quote stated what work was covered. He worked to poor standard and didn't come back to finish work as promised. He told tales about me to Roy Rowland, decorator who recommended him when I told him (Ian) that we weren't happy with his work. Ian is very unprofessional, unreliable, insincere, very expensive and works to a poor standard. He doesn't finish off his work properly. His is also rude, aggressive, obstinate, defensive and argumentative when challenged about quality of his work. He has taken advantage of us and betrayed our trust. We wouldn't recommend him to anyone. We wouldn't have employed him to do this work had it not been for recommendation of Roy Rowland, decorator. We will now have to get someone else to finish off his work..
